Finding More Confidence, Presence, and Trust in the Process
Personally, this program helped me shift from just doing mindfulness to actually living it. I’ve noticed I pause more, and don’t react as quickly, especially during stressful moments.
Professionally, I really appreciated how practical everything felt for grief work. It’s already changed how I think about holding space, less fixing, more allowing, and trusting the process. That’s been a big shift as I often feel the urge to spring into action.
I also loved the sense of community. Hearing others share so openly made it feel really human and relatable.
I’m especially grateful that this experience helped me feel more confident, and I am looking forward to sharing this mindfulness-based approach with clients.
Now that I have experienced what this practice has offered me, I can honestly say not having this personal practice would continue to lead to emotional burnout. It has become an essential form of self-care.

I feel I can better accommodate my clients during their time of grief as I now have the tools to assist them.
I highly recommend taking the Mindfulness & Grief Certification course. It is developed as a comprehensive foundation to work from and build on.

Supporting Others with a Clearer Mind and Heart
Both personally and professionally, the program helped me find my center through mindful breaths so that I can step into situations at the hospital with a clearer mind and heart.
I hope to use these practices with stressed staff so they can take needed pauses while supporting patients and families.
I would encourage others to participate. I think you have to be open to what you may come to know about yourself as you journey inwardly. Not everyone is ready for that, but all in all this is a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow.

Understanding Grief in a More Embodied Way
This isn’t a script to memorize. It’s a way of being. The body keeps the score, and now I finally understand what that means, and how to help others feel safe in theirs.

Personal Growth Alongside Professional Practice
The program gave me more resilience to face everything that I currently hold on my full plate. It also gave me the opportunity for personal growth and acceptance in my own grief having experienced multiple losses and as a caregiver for my 93 year old father.
The program professionally impacted me in the practice of leading meditations and holding space for others and their grief.
I appreciated listening to others stories as it helped me not feel alone and recognize common humanity of life.
Heather Stang is an awesome instructor, person and mentor. Even if you don't use the course in your professional life, I would encourage you to take it. It’s a chance for your own personal growth.
You will leave with a new toolkit for self care and processing grief.

Becoming More Gentle with Yourself and Others
‘Begin again’ completely changed how I speak to myself. It made me more present, more gentle, and more confident in leading others.
I used to think I had to be strong for my clients. Now I know strength can look like slowing down, breathing, and showing up exactly as I am.
